Worship Service Cancellation Due to Bad Weather

"First Presbyterian Church will almost always hold a worship service on Sunday morning.
The worship service will be cancelled when there is a Level Two Snow Emergency declared
when roadways are extremely hazardous with significant snow accumulation,
blowing snow or heavy ice. On weekdays the church office and all church programs
will also be cancelled when a Level Two Snow Emergency is in effect. During other storm
conditions church members are advised to use caution and best judgment when
determining whether to travel to church."
If you have any comments concerning this policy, please let a member of Session know.
STATEMENT OF WELCOME
First Presbyterian Church has been serving Maysville for over 200 years. Today the church retains its firm commitments to mission, worship, and music. We welcome people from all backgrounds to this journey of faith. You'll find honest conversations, the opportunity to be a part of time-honored traditions, and the chance to explore something new. As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we invite those who respond in trust and obedience to God's grace in Jesus Christ to become part of the membership and ministry of the church. We are old and young, conservative, and liberal, from many cultures and traditions. We welcome you for a day or a lifetime.
MISSION STATEMENT
We, at First Presbyterian Church, are a congregation of believers who live out our Christian values through:
1. Worship that glorifies God with scripture-based sermons and music, service to those in need, and caring support of members and the wider community.
2. Valuing personal relationships in our church, community and world.
3. A commitment to providing a safe and stable place to believers where they can be supported, educated and assisted in their spiritual journey.
